Vacancy: Counsellor
The President’s Trust and Blossom Foundation have partnered on a project to support children and their families within an educational set-up.
The President’s Trust is a structure with a corporate social responsibility framework, set up by Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, to support vulnerable young people experiencing inequalities and trauma, to empower them to gradually change their lives and to aim for a brighter future.
The Blossom Foundation was set up to undertake a number of projects to assist children who require support to overcome challenges they are encountering in their lives.
Vacancy - School Counsellor
We are looking for School Counsellors who will work in a school in the northern part of the island, collaborating closely with the school management in planning and implementing a school-wide counselling service and providing direct counselling intervention to at-risk students during school hours.
The School Counsellors will also identify, devise and deliver specialised group programmes for at-risk students who need additional help in the area of social and emotional development.
These posts are on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours weekly) and are ideal for retirees who want to work reduced hours or working parents who want to work during school hours.
Candidates are expected to be in possession of a recognised qualification at MQRIC Level 7 or higher in Counselling as stipulated by the Counselling Profession Act. They must also be fluent in English and Maltese.
Experience in a transcultural setting and/or play therapy will be considered an asset.
